International Dementia Conference to go ahead in Covid-safe manner
With rising COVID-19 community infection rates, we are doing everything we can to prioritise the safety of delegates, exhibitors and staff at IDC2022.
It’s less than five weeks to the 2022 International Dementia Conference and our organising team is very excited about the exceptional conference program and the strong interest we’ve seen in the event.
As you know, COVID-19 community infection rates have continued to climb and this is a particular challenge for many of our colleagues in health and aged care.
It has led us to rethink our conference approach to ensure we are doing everything we can to prioritise the safety of delegates, exhibitors and staff and also be responsive to the pressures in the sector.
After careful consideration, we’ve chosen to structure the conference as COVID-safe, with the key change being to place a limit on in-person registrations.
This lower number will give us greater flexibility to better observe COVID-safe practices, such as physically-distanced seating and meeting rooms, hand-sanitising and a range of other COVID-safe recommendations which we’ll finalise closer to the event.
As well, we would like to highlight our virtual attendance option, which provides live-streamed access to all of our plenary sessions, as well as our most popular concurrent stream.
We continue to look forward to holding a very successful conference. We believe it’s our strongest conference program in what has been a long and successful history. The COVID-safe changes we are introducing will ensure the quality speakers, vital topics and the messages of our sponsors and exhibitors can powerfully contribute to a Brave New World for dementia and aged care.
We encourage you to get in touch with our conference team to discuss any concerns or questions you may have. We thank you sincerely for your interest and participation in the International Dementia Conference 2022.
