Bio
Kelly Arthurs is a Palliative Care Clinical Nurse Consultant within the Northern Sydney Local Health District – HammondCare. She has over 15 years of experience working in Palliative Care as a Clinician and Educator. Kelly has provided symptom management and end of life care in various settings including: Palliative Care Units, Community Care, Aged Care, and Private and Public Hospital Consultation. Kelly has extensive experience in mentoring and delivering education for nurses, care workers, and General Practitioners in palliative care and advance care planning.
Most recently Kelly works part time as the clinical lead on the Sydney North Health Network, Quality End Of Life Project aimed at improving End Of Life care in Residential Aged Care in Northern Sydney. Kelly also works part time as the Clinician Mentor on the National: Advance Project which aims to assist general practices to initiate Advance Care Planning and palliative care into every day practice.
 
The Advance ProjectTM is a practical, evidence-based toolkit and a training package, specifically designed to support Australian general practices to implement a team-based approach to initiating advance care planning (ACP) and palliative care into everyday clinical practice.

The Quality End of Life Care project in residential aged care across Northern Sydney, is commissioned by Sydney North Primary Health Network and aims to deliver quality end of life care initiatives in residential aged care in Northern Sydney.
