About IDG Architects

At IntegratedDESIGNgroup, our vision of ‘Living relationships in built form’, is at the heart of our company, our people, and our work.

We were established as an architectural practice in Bathurst, NSW in 1999, opened an office in North Strathfield in 2004, and today have offices in Bathurst, Penrith, and Croydon. The growing team is building a strong reputation in a varied range of architectural endeavour from residential to commercial and institutional projects. Above all however, our architecture promotes the growth and sustenance of relationships between our clients, our staff, our society and the environment in which we live.

As architects we have a unique opportunity to shape the built world around us. We have the privilege to create spaces for community and relationship, and we believe that when we get that right we invite a connection. Our aged care homes look to keep the connection between the residents and their communities.

You can hear all about our project in Darlinghurst in Simon's on-demand presentation "Finding your way: in the city".

These same principles extend beyond aged care to our thinking about the community at large. In 2008 IntegratedDESIGNgroup wrote the Universal Housing Design Guidelines for Landcom, to facilitate the design and development of housing that will suit the needs of different ages and generations over time.

We love to work with local communities, and to understand the places we are designing in, so that together we can look to strengthen those communities. This love of community has taken us all over urban, suburban, regional and rural Australia. It has also taken us as far as the South East Asia and Africa in our partnership with Engineering Ministries International.
