Reflections on the first year of SDCP

Presentation Description

Steve and Arsh have been involved in the development of the Commonwealth Specialist Dementia Care Program (SDCP) since its inception. The first pilot unit opened in September 2019, with a total of 10 now in operation around the country. Some 35 units in total will be in operation once the programme is fully established.

This presentation provides an overview of the development of the SDCP program from the point of commencement to the current point in time. Why do these units exist? Who is eligible to enter? Where are they, and what have the first 12 months of the program taught us?
