The Reunion: The Story of the Meadows

Presentation Description

The Reunion brings together some of the key people involved in the development of the Meadows in the 1990s. The Meadows has had a major influence internationally on design and people with dementia. The Architect (Peter Ireland), Director of Nursing (Rosemary Bond), Senior Dementia Consultant (Theresa Kramer) and External Project Consultant (Richard Fleming) will come together for the first time in 20 years to reflect on the Meadows and what this seminal building taught them and did to change their thinking about a project of this magnitude.

In this panel interview with Leigh Hatcher we will seek to reflect on the challenges and learning that came about through this collaboration. It provides us with an exciting and unique insight by getting to hear their story and the journey and to be consider then and now on re what this tells us are the challenges for the future of successful design.
